In December, my sweetheart, hoping that I’d find a good use for it, gave me a favored blue sweater that, sadly, clothes moths had ruined. What to do, what to do with an old, moth-eaten sweater and a scrap wool stash? Ah, yes. Christmas ornaments! My ornaments are modified versions developed from the tutorials at these two links: The Purl Bee & My Desert Cottage. Izzy, the cat was very helpful in the gift-making melee. She kept track of everything for me: anything I was looking for was under the cat.
- Mom’s balls (as if she needs any).
- My nephew’s musical balls.
- A heart-shaped ball for my niece and her husband’s first Christmas.
- My SIL’s Balls. (Note to self: Her tree is bronzy-gold not silver.)
- Blue balls for my sweetheart.
- Stream-lining the ball-making process.
- I couldn’t have survived the holidays without my Lovely Assistant.
Those are lovely! Great way to recycle.
Thanks so much, Sara!
These turned out great! I love the photos. What would we do without our “assistants?”
I’d never be able to find anything if I didn’t have a cat to look under and I wouldn’t know it was break time if she didn’t try to play with me upon retrieval of said objects.
